I love September - it's the start of Fall. So many good things happened this month - here's a picture review of what we've been up to.
Our family at Aaron's Grandmother's funeral (Grandma Young). This was the first funeral for my kids to attend. They had lots of questions, but took it well.
Brothers - and the only two grandsons she had (there were 4 granddaughters).
Clayton and Addyson called her "GG" for Great-Grandma.
Addyson loves her Uncle Cameron!
We love going to the zoo and the kids are always excited to choose their animal on the carousal.
We love the manatee exhibit and thought it was quite amazing that they eat 100 heads of lettuce a day! When Clayton saw the white stuff on the manatee's tail he said, "He must of gotten into the marshmallows." :-)
Clayton loves turtles...
...he was excited that he got to pet a REAL one. Addy preferred staying in the stroller and watching.
But, she did get her courage up to pet this thing - can't remember what it is.
This is usually what happens on the way home from a zoo trip. :-)
We have the best kids program at church - this was a fun outing to Recreations Outlet.
Addy loved standing in this swing.
We also enjoyed eating outside one more time before cooler weather comes. Addy thought it was a little bright and got her hat and shades to help. :-)
And the big news of September is that Addy is potty trained! Hooray! She was more than happy to choose an umbrella for her celebration gift. :-)
Happy people...
...and more really happy people!
Another highlight this month was the Mother-Son Date Knight at Chic-Fil-A. Fun times!
Addy also got a new bed and we put the Care Bear quilt on it that my grandmother made for me when I was a little girl. She LOVES it and keeps thanking me for her pretty bed!
A last-minute trip to MO to see family and go to the Black Walnut Festival. We went every year growing up and I hadn't been back since I was a senior in high school. Such a delight!!
Two kids that LOVE face painting. I never let them do it at the zoo (since it cost an arm and a leg), but here it was only $1 - hooray!!
Addy loved her flower.
The cousins after church on Sunday morning.
We celebrated Aaron's 36th birthday while in MO.
Before we left, Grandpa gave the kids a tractor ride - this was one of their highlights of the trip!
