Tonka Time

Thank you for my Tonka Truck, Aunt Cindy!

Aunt Cindy came to visit Clayton when we was a week old and brought him a really cool Tonka Truck.

Last night I put Clayton in it for a picture (now 6 weeks old).

Aaron decided to roll the truck around on the floor with Clayton still in the back of it! From all appearances, Clayton loved it!

Thank you, Aunt Cindy!

Senioritis

Heather is a senior at Aldersgate Christian Academy. We had so much fun at her senior session! The leaves were beautiful and we created some great backgrounds/places for photos. Here are a few of my favorites.

Pickle-O's

Much to my delight and surprise, I recently discovered that Sonic has Pickle-O's. Yeah, I had to ask what they were too and kept my fingers crossed for the response. Yes! They are deep friend dill pickle slices (my mouth is totally watering right now - no joke) and they are SO good, especially with my favorite drink - a Lemon-Berry Slush. The official definition from Sonic: Pickle-O’s are sliced dill pickles, breaded and cooked to a golden brown. Served hot with tangy yellow mustard or cool ranch dressing, Pickle-O’s are a crispy, one-of-a-kind taste sensation.

If you are not familiar with Sonic, you should watch Sonic 101 on their website. These guys are funny (I like #4 the best).

My only problem - the closest Sonic restaurants here are in Mason and Franklin (not exactly "on my way" anywhere - bummer).

Sleeping Places

Here are more Clayton pictures for Great Grandma Herring since she is so kindly demanding more of them :-)

Clayton pretty much sleeps anywhere he's put down.

He really isn't sleeping ON the kitchen table - well, I guess he kind of is. But he is in his own little travel bed. I like to put him there during the day so I can watch/hear him while I'm in the kitchen.

He loves his bouncy seat and falls asleep in that too.

His first outing in the stroller was election day. He "strolled" along with Aaron and I as we went down to the GBS gym to cast our vote. He slept right through the red-letter day.

One of his favorite places to sleep is in Aaron's arms (must be Aaron's favorite too since he is also asleep). I took this picture just now.

The Weekend

We sure enjoyed having Kendall and Leanna here this weekend! And, I got to take their pictures. :-) Here are a few favorites - I think Leanna will post more on her blog or facebook.

It was a little chilly outdoors (OK - more than a little chilly), but they endured so I could get some pictures with the beautiful leaves.

Sunday morning we attended the baby dedication of my niece, Emme Grace (Jeff and Vicki's youngest) at Springdale.
Leanna with Emme.

I was in the foyer with Clayton, so this picture is kind of far away. But, you can see the pastor on the screen holding Emme.

The family - except for Kaley. She was MIA and no one could seem to find her. (Don't worry - she was found before we left church, but just not in time for the picture.)

4 weeks!

Wow! Clayton is 4 weeks old today. I just can't stop taking pictures of him. Here are my favorites from today.

This one reminds me of those SnowBuddies. :-)

OK - enough is enough!
I think I wore the little man out!

He's been with us for such a short time, but I can't imagine life without him.

Our Little Treat

We had a great time at the Halloween Party last night at David and Jessica's house.

I'm sure we looked quite funny together: me as a pumpkin, Clayton as a little banana, and Aaron as a jailbird.

Tim and Arlette looked great as mimes.

Lucy and her pirate (aka Brent and Holley).

Ron and Jennee as a spider and web. Jennee's was definitely the most creative - she made her costume!!

Liz's costume was definitely the scariest. Something about that expressionless mannequin got me every time.

After some great food, we embarked on a scavenger hunt. Both teams had to find all the items on the list and get a picture with the item. There was quite the variety of things . . .

playground equipment,

a McDonald's sign,

a Starbucks,

a grocery store cashier,

a McCain/Palin sign,

a police officer, and LOTS of other items.

We had a lot of fun and laughed way too much!
