A good weekend!

Aaron's parents and Cameron were here last weekend and we decided to do more grillin': Chicken Kabobs with onions, peppers, pineapple, tomatoes, and mushrooms!

I'd lots rather have too much food than not enough. We had plenty. :-)

Aaron got home from work - checked the grill - the propane tank was empty!
Thanks, Mark and Kristin, for coming to our rescue. Good neighbors and good friends are wonderful!

Cooking right along now.

Diggin' in!

Clayton had his first baby food - carrots! And he loved them!

Clayton enjoying his grandparents!

Clayton: ready for the final four!
Bet you can't guess who this outfit came from (thanks, Mark & Jana)!

The green beans weren't quite as good as the carrots, but he still did good with them.

Yum!

I tried my hand at the grill this week. Aaron is normally the "grill master", but he was working a little later than usual, so I thought I'd give it a try. The grill menu: T-bone Steaks and Asparagus. The steaks were delicious and the asparagus was to die for! I'd never actually even bought asparagus until this week. I was inspired to try grilling it after listening to Cooking with Marilyn on the radio. It was SO good and SO easy, which means we will definitely have this again!

Big Stuff!

Clayton thought he was "big stuff" today after church. Aaron was holding Clayton and got out to the car first. I was talking and had his car seat with me, so Aaron just put him down in the front seat of the car. Clayton can now sit up on his own, and thinks it's the grandest thing!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Clayton is not sitting up on his own yet, but is very, very close.

Just teasin'

I sure enjoyed the warm weather on Tuesday of this week. In fact, Clayton and I sat outside on the porch swing for a little while. He hasn't been outside much and seemed enthralled with the great outdoors (in fact, the toy I took out for him sat idle on the swing). I was so excited that Spring was on the way. But apparently the weather was just teasing us since it's now cold again.

We went from sunglasses and no coats . . .

to warm hats and blankets.

Come on, Spring, - we're ready!

Checking Back Into Life

After being so sick for so long, I'm finally beginning to feel better and am trying to check back into life (thanks to many, many answers to lots of prayer, lots and lots of medication, doctors, and a hospitalization). So, here's a very random update!

Clayton has started eating rice cereal and does really well with it!

My wonderful mother flew in to take care of me (and Clayton). While she was here we celebrated Caleb's 10th birthday!

Emme and Clayton are going to be good play buddies - although it looks like Clayton was still trying to figure Emme out in this picture.

Cameron turned the big 16 in February!
We thought Clayton might like a hat from Cracker Barrel - yeah right!

Cameron took good care of Clayton and made sure his hood stayed on since it was windy.

I was absolutely delighted to go back to church again - and I think Clayton enjoyed it too!
It's hard to believe he is now 5 months old!
